Greetings from Nassau, Bahamas
We are anchored in Nassau, near where the cruise ships dock. The passage from South Miami to where we are now went smoothly. We had a little rough water the last 30 of the 170 mile trip. Seas were up to 6 feet and winds 18 to 20 knots, but the Sorrento performed great. We caught a barracuda on the way . It is great to be back on familiar ground.
The forecast looks great for the next few days. We are going to try to get through the Exumas and then on to the Turks & Caicos for some good diving.

Georgetown, Great Exuma Island
Needed new batteries, which had to come from State side. Got them installed and now will have to check to see if they are holding their charge. So it looks like May 6 is our departure date!
Georgetown is a small 200 year old village with a large cruising community. Many cruisers use this as their turn around port. Others, like us, use it as a jump off port. We will provision here, because there aren't any other islands where we can anchor that have inhabitants , let alone stores!
To be continued .....
