Congratulations on the Grandbaby on the way!
I think of you often and wish you fair winds and terrific adventures!
I'm the teacher librarian director of two elementary schools in Long Beach, CA and working on a 2nd graduate degree and an additional credential through San Jose State U. I am not the "usual" teacher type and have had and continue to have very unique challenges in addition to connecting kids to literature and life!
Morgan has finished her Masters in Colorado last spring and is entertaining several offers in her field.
Truffles is still very active although much grayer and my little companion.
The San Diego land is still my respite from the big city gig that I now find myself living although I have a lovely mini-garden now in Orange County.
Stay well, stay in touch and do good work!

Hi Mom and Dave,

I am glad to hear your long sail went well. I had a great time on the boat last Christmas. I can't wait to visit you soon.

Love David

Hi Fran,
I met you today, May 17th, 2006 on the St George Shuttle to Las Vegas, NV. I enjoyed talking with you on the trip down and learning about your life aboard the Sorrento, which by the way is beautiful. I am still reading your website and loving every bit of it.
I wish you luck and happiness on your life adventure.
Cheers,
Trish Hein

Hi Franny and Dave,
Have been thinking about you both and hope you are well and still enjoying your adventure! We are well. I am a Librarian/Teacher at two elementary schools in Long Beach. Morgan is finishing her Masters degree in Colorado. Wonder what port you two are in these days? How are the kids doing? Miss you immensely and our wonderful times together in San Diego. I'm also working on another graduate degree...yes, I know, I too wonder if it will EVER be over...I plan on spending more time at the ocean this coming summer and on my 'blades again down on the Bay. I miss my blading buddies...but alas, life moves on. Many, many changes since last we spoke. Drop an email if you get the opportunity!
All our love.

WOW! is all we can say. You sure have covered miles and miles of ocean sailing since we saw you in Colon. Sounds like you are really having a ball. We have done mostly San Juan, Canadian Island and Alaska cruising. Jack bought Jean a 17' salmon boat which we are all enjoying and learning the art of salmon fishing. Planning on returning to Alaska again this year and perhaps not going up as far north as Skagway like our last trip. Jack wants to see the bears on ANAN Bay just below Wrangel. Nice to hear from you and see that you are exploring and seeing so many new and facinating things. Think of you guys often and our days in Panama. Miss ya. Love J J

Finally got to see your wonderful website, now that the WIFI is up and running here in Lovely historic Cartegena, where we are spending the holidays. Dec.26, we fly to Lima to meet Suzanne's daughter Tracy for a 10-day tour of Peru. Will cruise the San Blas Islands from Feb-April, then go up to Bocas del Toro to leave ZEELANDER for the hurricane season and fly back to Ocean City,NJ May 20.
We're reversing your footsteps...miss you so much!
Hope you're enjoying the Virgins. Are you still planning to sell Sorrento, or sail it to the Med?

Dear Fran Dave,

Having enjoyed your emails for years, and being part of the first leg from San Diego to Cabo San Lucas, your travels have made more determined to go cruising.

I do hope to come visit you in your current port of St. Thomas. I was there in '81 and haven't been back since.

I think of all the years and adventures you have enjoyed out cruising. I can recall your adventures but I can't remember too many of mine in the past years.

Always good to hear from you, warmly, Steve Cyndi
