We had a choppy trip from the Bahamas to Florida, but arrived in Fort Pierce , Florida to put the Sorrento up 'on the hard' . We need a safe place for her during hurricane season and we have some repairs that need to be made.
With the Sorrento high and dry, Dave and I flew to Las Vegas to spend some time with sister Joanne and other family members. On Aug. 1st, we flew into Reno, Nevada to renew old friendships. The highlight of this trip was that both the kids, Laura and David, were in Reno at the same time. I just can't tell you how wonderful it was to have family get-togethers, picnics, trips to Lake Tahoe, etc. after so long apart!
On Aug. 12, we go to the Sacramento, California area to visit with David's family. It will be so nice to see Dave's mother and sister Shannon and other family members. After a week here, we meet Joanne and Joe and plan to do some travelling in Napa Valley and the Montery Peninsula.
After visiting and vacationing, we plan to return to Las Vegas and wait out the east coast hurricane season there. I will keep you all posted on our next moves.
